TANAH JAMBU, THURSDAY, 7 MAY 2026 – Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 25 concluded the Exercise First Look which was conducted at the Jungle Training Area, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), Tanah Jambu.
The exercise was designed to give exposure to OCdts to practical jungle training scenarios through the application of theoretical military knowledge acquired during the early phase of training. As part of the foundational military training programme, it aimed to develop the leadership, character, and intellectual qualities required of future officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
Throughout the exercise, the OCdts underwent basic military fieldcraft and small-unit operations, focusing on platoon and section formations, tactical movement, communication, and weapon handling.
The training also introduced OCdts to roles and responsibilities within platoon and section environments, reinforcing the importance of teamwork, discipline, and leadership in military operations.
Exercise First Look continues to serve as a key foundation in building the confidence, tactical understanding, and military competencies of OCdts in preparation for more advanced phases of training within the RBAF.
