OFFICER CADETS INTAKE 24 COMPLETES URBAN OPERATIONS TRAINING PACKAGE

​​SINGAPORE, Wednesday, 22 ​October 2025 – Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 24, Officer Cadet School, Defence Acade​my, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF), successfully completed the Urban Operations Training Package (UOTP) conducted in collaboration with the Officer Cadet School, Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute Military Institute (OCS SAFTI MI).

Over the two-week programme, the OCdts underwent a series of rigorous and dynamic training activities, which included Combat Physical Training, Singapore Assault Rifle 21 (SAR21) familiarisation, Urban Operations Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (UOTTPs), Drone Training Package, and Exercise Coyote I. The cadets also undertook the SAFTI Aquatic Obstacle Course (SAOC), a demanding test of endurance and teamwork that further enhanced their resilience, determination, and cohesion.

The closing ceremony took place at the Officers’ Mess Hall, SAFTI MI, and was marked by a symbolic exchange of mementos between Senior Lieutenant Colonel Phua Chai Kin, Deputy Commander (Army) of OCS SAFTI MI, and Major Mohammad Aji bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Commanding Officer of OCS DA RBAF. The evening concluded with a dinner and sharing session between officer cadets from both nations, reflecting their shared experiences and the spirit of camaraderie developed throughout the training.

The UOTP not only honed leadership, discipline, and cooperation among the OCdts but also reinforced the strong and enduring defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore. Such collaborative engagements continue to promote mutual understanding, professional growth, and lasting friendship between the two armed forces.
