TANAH JAMBU, 28 MARCH 2026 — The Officer Cadet School (OCS), Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), held the First Rank Appointment Ceremony for Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 25, marking their formal appointment into key leadership roles within the intake.
The ceremony was officiated by Major Abdul Qahhar bin Haji Abdul Mulok, Intake Commander of OCS, and was also attended by the Intake Officers.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the presentation of rank insignia. A total of 23 OCdts were appointed to leadership roles within their respective platoons, including the Cadet Sergeant Major (CSM), Assistant Cadet Sergeant Major (ACSM), three Cadet Platoon Sergeants (CPS), nine Cadet Corporals, and Cadet Lance Corporals.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa and a group photograph session.
The appointments mark an important milestone in the development of the officer cadets, providing them with early leadership exposure and practical responsibility. Through these appointments, the OCdts are given the opportunity to strengthen their leadership qualities and contribute to the discipline, cohesion, and overall performance of the intake.
