Of this number, 96 Probationary Officer Cadets comprised 73 males and 23 females, while the remaining two were International Officer Cadets from Malaysia and the Kingdom of Thailand, bringing the total to 98 Officer Cadets. One International Officer Cadet from Singapore and one Officer Cadet from Intake 24 will join at a later stage, bringing the total number of Officer Cadets in this intake to 100.
Present as the Guest of Honour and awarding the insignias was Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF. Also in attendance were members of the RBAF Executive Committee, Directors, senior officers, Defence Advisers from Malaysia, and the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam, as well as the parents or guardians of the newly appointed Officer Cadets.
Over the past six weeks, the Officer Cadets underwent Basic Military Training consisting of drills, physical fitness, field craft, weapons handling, battlefield first aid, map reading, leadership and management, as well as other related training.
The Officer Cadets will now undergo 42 weeks of more rigorous and intensive training programme designed to develop them into highly capable officers with strong leadership, character and knowledgeable.
The ceremony concluded with the recital of Doa led by Yang Mulia Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar, Acting Director of the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA'AT), followed by the signing of the parchment and a group photo session.
