TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 02 December 2024 - An important day for 4 Officer Cadets of Intake 23 as they receive their respective rank insignias at Officer Cadet School, Mess Hall. The ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Lt Col (U) Pg Haji Muhammad Yusri bin Pg Haji Sharifuddin, Commanding Officer of OCS. Also present were the Intake Commander, Platoon Commanders and Instructors of OCS.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the official rank appointments by the Commanding Officer. One Officer Cadet was promoted to Cadet Sergeant Major (CSM), one to Cadet Staff Sergeant (CSS) and two to Cadet Platoon Sergeant, across their respective platoons. The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat.
Both CSM and CSS were acknowledged as having an exceptional performance during their tenure as Officer Cadets thus far. The newly appointed CSM and CSS was OCdt Dk Nur Muta’Wakillah Bte Pg Hj Mohd Ali and OCdt Nor Azwar Zuwairey Bin Hj Norshamli respectively.
The military rank system is a structured framework that embodies key principles of leadership, chain of command, and discipline. It provides a clear hierarchy where leadership is earned and entrusted, promoting a sense of responsibility and accountability as each rank carries specific duties and expectations. This system requires continuous readiness to tackle challenges, showcasing resilience, integrity, and decision-making under pressure. Through this framework, Officer Cadets develop their leadership skills and become better prepared to meet the high standards expected of RBAF officers.
