TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 30 October 2024 – The Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) received a career visit from 44 Military Cadets from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
The career visit began with photo session and comprehensive introduction to OCS briefing delivered by Captain Umar Abdul Aziz bin Haji Yahya, Training Officer, Officer Cadet School DA RBAF and career briefing delivered by Captain Nurhadziyah binti Haji Abd Talib from Recruitment Office. The briefing also includes with Introduction of Situation, Mission, Execution, Ask Questions and Confirmation (SMEAC) framework.
The SMEAC framework is a basic leadership tool to help leaders make decisions under pressure in complex situations. It is taught to military cadets for use in Command and Task Activities which the visiting military cadet will experience during the visit. These activities, led by Physical Training Instructors (PTI) from DA RBAF, focus on building and testing important leadership, decision-making, and teamwork skills needed in real military operations.
The visit concluded with a group photo session.
