END OF GENERIC TERM PARADE OFFICER CADET SCHOOL INTAKE 23

TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 27 June 2024 – The Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 23 conducted their End of Generic Term Parade earlier today. The parade marked the end of the generic term where the Officer Cadets of Intake 23 have completed their six months journey into their commissioning program. This parade instils discipline, enhances coordination, and fosters a sense of unity amongst the OCdts. They are the foundation to military training, preparing the OCdts for the precision and order required in their future roles as officers.

The parade was split into two contingents and was led by the Parade Commander, Captain Nursazwilla binti Rosdie. The event was graced by the presence of Major Abdul Qahhar bin Haji Abdul Mulok, the Intake Commander of OCS.

Parade drills are conducted regularly as part of the officer cadets' training program. The Instructors emphasise on the importance of precision, timing, and uniformity while the OCdts practice in groups to develop coordination and teamwork. The parade typically began with simple commands and progressed to more complex manoeuvres such as slow and quick marches, which were supported by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Band. The parade was presented with a speech from the Intake Commander before ending it with doa.

Through ensuring discipline, physical fitness, teamwork, and confidence-building, the parade lays the groundwork for the professional and personal development of the OCdts. It marks a crucial achievement in moulding outstanding military leaders who, marching together, embody the military's values and traditions, prepared to serve with honour and excellence.
