TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 28 December 2023 – The Officer Cadets (OCdt) of Intake 22 engage in an induction briefing by a guest speaker, 941 Major Dk Nur Hazrimah binti Pg Hassanan from Training Institute, Royal Brunei Armed Forces on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) at the Lecture Theatre, Officer Cadet School, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF) for 3 days from 26 December to 28 December 2023.
The aim of the OHS induction briefing is to expose the OCdts to the necessary skills and knowledge to uphold and contribute to RBAF’s safety standards. The briefing covered the topics especially on work safety, duty as an employee and employer, incident and accident, managing stress, control measure, and the OHS management system, among others. In addition, the OCdts also took part in the class activity conducted by the guest speaker.
It was also highlighted that ensuring the health and safety is an obligation of a leader by identifying potential hazards, assessing risks, and implementing appropriate measures to manage these risks. This proactive approach can prevent workplace accidents and health issues, thereby protecting all the subordinates and the organisation.
