– The Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) celebrated
its 14th Anniversary with a Family Day event held at Muara Beach.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin
Pengiran Haji Yusof, the Commandant of DA RBAF. The event was also
attended by officers, permanent staff, and Officer Cadets of DA RBAF,
along with their invited family members.
The day’s activities included
a photobooth, fun fair games organised by various Defence Academy
departments, lucky draws, fostering bonds among families, officers, and
staff. The event also featured a prize presentation for the winners of
the Weight Loss Challenge and the 140km Virtual Run, both organised for
DA RBAF personnel in celebration of the DA RBAF 14th Anniversary, held
from October to December 2024. The event began with the recitation of
the opening du’a, followed by Zumba session led by the Physical Training
Instructors (PTIs) of DA RBAF. Participants then gathered for a group
photo and joined a walkathon around Muara Beach. These activities
provided a unique opportunity for families to engage with Defence
Academy personnel and gain deeper insights into the programmes,
particularly for the families of the Officer Cadets of Intake 23.
This celebration aimed to
promote strong family values while fostering goodwill and camaraderie
among the families of DA RBAF personnel. By encouraging these meaningful
connections, the event sought to cultivate a healthier working
environment and enhance the emotional, psychological, and social
well-being of its personnel.
