OCS DA RBAF CONDUCTS RANK APPOINTMENT CEREMONY FOR INTAKE 24

TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 21 May 2025 – At the Officer Cadet School (OCS DA RBAF), strong emphasis is placed not only on leading others but also on self-discipline and personal accountability. This ceremony marks the second official appointment of officer cadets (OCdts) intake 24 who will take on leadership roles as Section Commander and Second-in-Command (2IC) section commander.

The event was officiated by Major Abdul Qahhar bin Haji Abd. Mulok, the Intake Commander of OCS. The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah to seek blessings and pray for the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

A total of twelve OCdts were appointed to new ranks within their respective sections. Of these, six were promoted to the rank of Officer Cadet Corporal (Section Commander), while the remainder were promoted to Officer Cadet Lance Corporal (2IC Section Commander). These roles are critical in shaping their leadership journey, as the appointed cadets are entrusted with the responsibility of managing, guiding, and setting the standard for their section. They are expected to lead by example, uphold the core values of OCS, and ensure the cohesion, welfare, and performance of their section.

Rank appointment ceremony in OCS not only recognise the OCdts’ potential, but also serve as a vital step in preparing them to take on greater responsibilities as future leaders of the RBAF.
