TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 03 January 2024 - The Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 22 had a 2-day introductory session with Pusat PRIHATIN from 02 January to 03 January 2024.
On the first day, the OCdts visited Pusat PRIHATIN at Bolkiah Garisson. An officer from the Counselling Unit of Pusat PRIHATIN, Lieutenant Siti Zainab binti Ahmad, gave the welcoming remarks and introduced the OCdts to the establishment. In her presentation, she shared the history of the establishment and presented all the available services provided in Pusat PRIHATIN. The OCdts had a day filled with team building activities and talks such as the Taklimat Program Disiplin Anggota Tentera (PADAT) and Taklimat Kesederan Kaunsellling & Anti-Dadah (TEKAD). These sessions were designed to give a brief introduction to the OCdts as to the responsibilities and services provided by the Counselling Unit.
On the second day, the Head of Psychology, Major Amiza binti Haji Zainal Abidin introduced the newly established Psychology Cell of Pusat PRIHATIN to the OCdts while also leading the OCdts through various psychometric tests that are designed to test Royal Brunei Armed Force (RBAF) personnel. The OCdts underwent the Myer Briggs Personality test to find out their personality type. The OCdts also did a test to see their Emotional Intelligence. From the session, the OCdts developed a better understanding of their character and it provided them with a good indicator of themselves for future self reflection.
By raising self-awareness of their own character, whilst also learning about the establishments available in the RBAF, the OCdts become more well equipped to be military officers.
