DEFENCE ACADEMY, TANAH JAMBU, 29th August 2019- It was again another proud moment for TWENTY-THREE Officer Cadets as they received their respective insignias yesterday morning at a promotion ceremony in Officer Cadet School (OCS). The promotion ceremony took place at the Officer Cadet’s Mess Hall 1, where the insignia presentation was led by the Guest of Honor the acting Commanding Officer of OCS, Major Pg Siti Khatamal Zariah bte Pg Kamaluddin.
In all, 2 Officer Cadets were promoted to the rank of Cadet Sergeant Major (CSM) and Cadet Staff Sergeant (CSS) respectively, they were 53236 OCdt (U) Muhammad Najib Naqiuddin bin Haji Idris and 53212 OCdt Mohamad Zairul Hafiy bin Haji Mat Zaini. Moreover, 3 officers Cadets were promoted to the rank of Cadet Platoon Sergeants, 9 were promoted to Cadet Corporals and another 9 were promoted to Cadet Lance Corporal.
Also present at the ceremony were officers and instructors of OCS as well as Officer Cadets from Intake 18. The Officer Cadet rank promotions are part of a continuous recognition, as an appreciation and reward to Officer Cadets who have carried out their duties diligently and made significant contributions to the intake.
