Defence Academy, Friday, 04 December 2020 – In conjunction with the 59th Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Defence Academy 10th Anniversary, the Officer Cadet School (OCS) Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces today conducted cleaning campaigns at cemeteries of the fallen heroes of the 2012 helicopter crash. The cemetery cleaning campaigns were held concurrently at Kampung Pulaie Cemetery, Kampung Telanai Cemetery, Kampung Tanjong Nangka Cemetery and Annaem Cemetery, Seria.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Yassin, Tahlil, Doa Arwah and continued with the cleaning campaign. The event was attended by Maj Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Hj Kamaludin, the Commanding Officer of Officer Cadet School. Also present at the event was Intake Commander, Officers, School Sergeant Major, Instructors and Officer Cadets.
The campaign is held yearly as one of the charitable activities, aimed to build community spirit among the OCS personnel including to pay respect in remembrance of the late personnel whom had contributed to the Academy before.
