Tanah Jambu, Defence Academy, Thursday, 07 October 2021 – In conjunction with the celebration of Maulud Nabi Muhammad SAW for the year 1443H, Officer Cadet Intake 20 Officer Cadet School DA RBAF held the opening ceremony for the nightly Dikir Maulud. During this pandemic situation, the event was held virtually via online at the Officer Cadet Block accommodation. Virtually present was 823 Major (U) Muhammad Yusra bin Awang Jafar, the Intake Commander of OCS and instructors along with the Officer Cadets of Intake 20. The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by 54097 Mid Muhammad Nazrie bin Yusrie, followed by Selawat to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the reading of Dikir Marhaban.The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Kesyukuran and Doa Tolak Bala to protect Brunei from the spread and outbreak of COVID-19. The nightly Dikir will continue until 18 October 2021, 11 Rabiulawal 1443, the night before the Maulud Nabi Celebration. Although the COVID-19 pandemic second wave hits Brunei Darussalam this year, the event still can be conducted as an expression of gratitude and love to Prophet Muhammad (PHUB) and to seek blessings from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.
