TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 7 August 2025 – Officer Cadets (OCdts) from Intake 24 of the Officer Cadet School (OCS), Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), marked a significant milestone with the successful conduct of their End of Generic Term Parade. The event signified the culmination of a six-month phase in their commissioning programme and served to reinforce discipline, enhance coordination, and strengthen camaraderie among the OCdts. Parades of this nature form a fundamental component of military training, instilling the precision, order, and bearing essential for their future roles as commissioned officers.
The parade was comprised of two contingents under the command of Parade Commander, Captain Zulhamizan bin Awang Jamil. The occasion was graced by the presence of Major Abdul Qahhar bin Haji Abdul Mulok, Intake Commander for Intake 24, who attended as the Guest of Honour.
Parade drills remain an integral element of the officer cadet training regimen. Instructors place strong emphasis on precision, timing, and uniformity, with OCdts training collectively to refine teamwork and cohesion. Each parade sequence commences with basic commands and progresses to more intricate manoeuvres, including slow and quick marches, accompanied by the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) Pipes and Drums Platoon. The programme concluded with a speech delivered by the Intake Commander, followed by the recitation of doa.
By fostering discipline, physical fitness, teamwork, and self-confidence, the parade laid a strong foundation for both the professional growth and personal development of the OCdts. It represents an important stage in shaping future military leaders who embody the core values and traditions of the RBAF, prepared to serve the nation with honour and excellence.
The event concluded with the Executive Generic Term Luncheon with the Guest of Honour at the Officer Cadet Mess Hall.
