There are variety of benefits mentioned by the coaches from Ar Rafi Archery Brunei such as boosting confidence, improving upper body strength, refining different skills and technique of traditional archery’s positions, flexibility, teaching the meaning of patience and also challenging ourselves beyond our comfort zone.
The first part of the activity was a brief presentation of the introduction of archery where the coaches highlighted the importance of safety, rules and regulation throughout the activity. Next, we were introduced to the variety of equipments and accessories such as bows, arrows and targets. After an hour of theory session, we then moved outdoor for practical session where we were taught three different techniques namely, European Draw, Persian Draw and lastly Asian/Mongolian Draw.
