TANAH JAMBU, FRIDAY, 24 January 2025 - Following the night after the Officer Cadet of Intake 23’s Sovereign’s Parade, the newly commissioned officers celebrated their Graduation Dinner at the Ceremonial Hall, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF).
The graduation dinner was graced by Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also present was the Permanent Secretary of Ministry Of Defence, Yang Mulia Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, the Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Yang Mulia Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Services Commanders of RBAF, the Defence Advisor of Malaysia, Yang Mulia Colonel Nor Azizi bin Abdullah, Officers of DA RBAF and the newly commissioned officers of OCS Intake 23.
The dinner proceeded with welcoming drinks and were entertained by the RBAF band alongside the sound of bagpipes, Flute and Tambour Platoon as the symphonic diversion played by the Regimental Pipers of the RBAF.
The Sword of Honour conveyed a speech as part of the tradition of the Graduation Dinner Night whereby he spoke about the heartfelt experiences and journey undertaken by the newly commissioned officers throughout their 48 weeks of training. He also highlighted the gratitude towards the officers and instructors that had guided them with the highest commitment and pride to shape them into well-rounded officers in RBAF.
The graduation dinner night concluded with the signing of parchment by the Guest of Honour and a group photo session.
