TANAH JAMBU, Thursday 3 December 2020 – The Officer cadet of intake 19 held the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony to celebrate the passing of their Special to Service term. The event was held at Surau Asy-Syuhada’, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
Present at the event was the Intake commander of intake 19, Major (U) Muhammad Yusra bin Awang Jaafar. Also, in attendance were Second in Command of Intake Commander, Platoon commanders of Officer Cadet School and the Imam of surau Asy-Syuhada’, DA RBAF.
The ceremony began with mass Isya prayers, followed by a mass reading of the final verses of the Al-Quran, Dzikir Marhaban, Takhtim and concluded by Doa Selamat. The Khatam Al Quran event is held to encourage and cultivate a practice of reading the Al-Quran among the Muslims cadets. The ceremony was conducted in accordance to the guidelines given by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Religious Affairs to control the spread of COVID-19.
