MUARA, Friday, 17 January 2020 – The Officer Cadet School of Intake 18 held swimming competition today at the Royal Brunei Navy pool complex with the Intake Commander of Intake 18, Major (U) Awg Muhd Yusra bin Awg Jafar, as the Guest of Honor. Present were officers, instructors and Officer Cadets of Intake 18.The challenge began with water polo comprised of 6 groups of male cadets; 4 x 50-meter Relay and 2-Men Supply. 3 Platoon rose in the water polo occasion however; it was 1 Platoon who emerged as the overall champion in the swimming competition with 18 points, while 3 and 2 Platoons amassed 10 and 8 points altogether respectively.
To mark the end of the event, the Guest of Honor was welcome to part with prizes to the victors. The swimming gala is organized with the hope to impose exposure to the Officer Cadets so that they have an idea on how to organize aquatic sports in their respective units. This is the final sport that the Officer Cadets will be organizing together as an intake and thus to encourage stronger bonds among the Officer Cadets before they commission as Young Officers in the military.
