DEFENCE ACADEMY, TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 23 December 2021 – The Officer Cadets of Intake 20 from the Officer Cadet School (OCS) had a briefing on Pay and Allowances that took place earlier today at the Auditorium, Defence Academy.
The session was led by 942 Maj Nurhafizah Binti Danan from MINDEF Finance Department where it focused on the processes of payments and types of allowances provided in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). The aim is to give exposure to the Officer Cadets regarding the role of the Finance Department and introduce them several allowances for military personnel.
One of the key takeaway points from the session for the Officer Cadets is to guide them on the processes and correct procedure that must be taken into account throughout their services in RBAF when applying for loans, allowances and claims. Finally, the session was concluded with a discussion on misconceptions or doubts regarding the payment processes for once the Officer Cadets are commissioned as Officers. This session had also raised awareness regarding all the privileges the organization has provided that these future RBAF officers are to be grateful for.
