TANAH JAMBU, OFFICER CADET SCHOOL, Sunday, 19 December 2021 – Today marked the end of STS term for Intake 20 of Officer Cadet School, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces. The parade this morning was reviewed by Lieutenant Colonel Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Haji Kamaludin, the Commanding Officer of Officer Cadet School.

A Present Arm officiated the arrival of the Guest of Honour, and this was followed by the inspection of the parade.

The parade, led by the parade commander, 1071 Cpt Muhammad Azmi bin Abd Latif, was made of four contingents which were headed by their respective contingent commanders. The parade concluded with a speech by the Guest of Honour, where she congratulated the Officer Cadets for finishing their STS term and she highlighted that the Officer Cadets ought to maintain their discipline and dedication in finishing the course. She also showed appreciation to all the instructors for guiding the Officer Cadets in becoming well-rounded leaders in preparation of becoming military officers.

The Special-To-Service Term is where each service conducted separate specialised training programmes relevant to their units. Despite the second wave of COVID-19, the objectives of the Special-To-Service Term have been successfully met.

The aim of the Parade was not exclusively to honor the fulfillment of the Special-To-Service Term but on the other hand, is to uncover and prepare Officer Cadets for their final parade which is the Sovereign’s Parade by the end of the 52-weeks course. The event was concluded with a curry lunch with the Guest of Honour at the Ceremonial Hall.
