TANAH JAMBU, Defence Academy, Friday 18 June 2021 – The Intake 20 of the Officer Cadet School (OCS) hosted a dinner to commemorate the end of their Generic Term at the Officer Cadet’s Mess Hall. The theme of the dinner was “Horror Whispers” where Episode 2 of Story to Tell activity was also conducted.
Present as the Guest of Honour was the Intake Commander, 823 Major (U) Awg Md Yusra bin Awg Jafar, along with other intake officers and instructors. The event commenced with the arrival of the Guest of Honour and a formal photo session at the foyer of the Mess Hall. The Intake Commander was then ushered to the Mess Hall 1 for light refreshments.
Following the welcoming drinks, the guests then made their way to the Mess Hall 2 for the main event. The recitation of Surah Al Fatihah officially started the event and dinner followed after. The Intake had also celebrated birthdays for June celebrants, presented with a birthday cake. The event then continued with six representatives from the intake sharing their horror and supernatural experiences. Besides the story telling, the guests were entertained with a short video of Intake 20’s Generic Term Journey. The event was then concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat.
This End of Generic Term Dinner Night aimed to expose the officer cadets in conducting dinner events and more specifically exposing them to a glimpse of what Regimental Dinner is.
