TANAH JAMBU, DEFENCE ACADEMY, Friday, 10 September 2021 - The Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN held a session with the Midshipmen of Officer Cadet School (OCS) Intake 20 at the OCS Lecture Theatre via virtual platform. In attendance were the Commanding Officer of Naval Training Centre and the Second-In-Charge of Naval Training Centre.
The Deputy Commander began the session with a warm welcoming greet to midshipmen of Intake 20 to the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) by congratulating them on achieving this far of the commissioning course. Although the current situation of the ongoing second wave pandemic of COVID-19 that happened before the start of the Special-to-Service (STS) term, prohibited physical sessions. This zoom session gave the opportunity to introduce themselves and were given a glimpse of what is to be expected from young officers of RBN.
The Deputy Commander ensure that midshipmen should mind their attitude as this will reflect their own standard and by printing the RBAF’s Core Values within themselves, cultivate high self-discipline and implant sense of integrity will be a favorable trait that would help their development as future officers. He advised them to maintain their fitness level despite the second wave pandemic. He emphasised on always obey rules and regulation by behaving professionally and finally, the Deputy Commander reminded them to keep their spiritual practices as a daily priority to protect them from any threats and sickness during their training in OCS.
