BERAKAS FOREST RESERVE, 27 June 2022 – The Officer Cadet School (OCS) Commanding Officer’s (CO’s) challenge took place on Monday morning where nine sections were sent off from its starting point at Berakas Forest Reserve and ended at the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Saddle Club within the Berakas Camp as the finishing line. The CO’s challenge this year took place at the end of the Generic Term.
Present as Guest of Honour was the Commanding Officer of OCS, Lt Col Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Hj Kamaludin. From the reshuffled sections, the winner for this year CO’s challenge for intake 21 was from Section 8 for achieving the fastest time in completing the challenge with the least time penalty.
The objective of the challenge is to imbue a spirit of healthy competition and esprit de corps within the intake, and test on the cadets’ fundamental military knowledge as well as their combat fitness. The challenge spanned over the course of 8 stands, covering 12 km in total.
