JALAN LABI, BELAIT, Thursday, 4 September 2025 – The Land Force Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 24 successfully completed a four-day Tiger Trail Exercise at Jalan Labi, Belait.
Prior to the field exercise, the OCdts received theoretical lessons on essential jungle warfare concepts and tactics. Over the course of the exercise, they applied this knowledge through hands-on drills, beginning with section battle drills across multiple sectors and culminating in a platoon-level battle drill on the final day.
The training included key lessons such as Snap Ambush, Withdrawal, Obstacle Drills, and Rendezvous Clearance, all of which tested their ability to navigate challenging terrain, adapt to evolving tactical situations, and coordinate as a cohesive unit.
Through section and platoon battle exercises, the OCdts further reinforced their skills in communication, making quick decisions, and leading a section or platoon while under pressure. This exercise emphasised the importance of planning, cooperation, and execution in military operations, particularly in jungle environments.
The Tiger Trail Exercise provided an invaluable opportunity for the OCdts to reinforce and further develop their ground analysis, effective immediate actions, and leadership abilities. It has prepared them for the challenges of future jungle operations as they progress towards becoming effective leaders in the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF).

PEGAWAI KADET TENTERA DARAT PENGAMBILAN KE-24 MELAKSANAKAN EKSESAIS TIGER TRAIL
JALAN LABI, BELAIT, Khamis, 4 September 2025 – Pegawai Kadet (PKdt) Tentera Darat Pengambilan ke 24 telah berjaya menamatkan Eksesais Tiger Trail selama empat hari di Jalan Labi, Belait.
Sebelum eksesais dijalankan, PKdt telah diberikan pembelajaran teori mengenai konsep serta taktik penting dalam peperangan hutan. Sepanjang eksesais, mereka mengaplikasikan pengetahuan tersebut melalui latihan praktikal, bermula dengan latihan pertempuran seksyen, dan latihan pertempuran platun.
Eksesais ini merangkumi aspek penting seperti Serangan Hendap, pengunduran, Latihan Halangan, dan Rendezvous Clearance. Eksesais ini menguji kemampuan mereka menavigasi kawasan mencabar, bertindak balas terhadap situasi taktikal yang berubah-ubah, serta bekerjasama sebagai satu pasukan.
Melalui latihan pertempuran seksyen dan platun, PKdt memperkukuhkan lagi kemahiran komunikasi, membuat keputusan pantas, dan memimpin sebuah seksyen atau platun ketika berada di bawah tekanan. Eksesais ini menekankan kepentingan perancangan, kerjasama dan pelaksanaan dalam operasi ketenteraan khususnya di persekitaran hutan.
Eksesais Tiger Trail ini memberi peluang yang amat bernilai bagi memperkukuh kemahiran penilaian kawasan, tindakan serta-merta yang berkesan, dan kemahiran untuk memimpin. Ia seterusnya mempersiapkan mereka untuk menghadapi cabaran operasi hutan pada masa hadapan sebagai pemimpin yang berkesan dalam Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB).”
