Isnin, 9 September 2024 – 9 Air Force Officer Cadets (OCdts) from Intake 23 participated in a series of educational wing visits as part of their Introductory Special to Service (STS) program. This program included visits to all wings along with their respective squadrons (SQNs). The aim of these visits was to introduce the Air Force
OCdts to the organisational framework and to provide them with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each squadron and its personnel. Furthermore, the Air Force
OCdts gained a thorough insight into the capabilities and assets of each Wing within the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF).
Key highlights of the tour included the chance to fly on the new C-295 aircraft and to experience a flight over Bandar Seri Begawan in the Blackhawk S-70i. They also participated in the daily operations of 11 SQN and 15 SQN, immersing themselves in their routine tasks. They explored various aircraft types, including those in No. 1 Wing, and observed aircraft maintenance procedures at No. 5 Wing. These visits not only enhanced the Air Force
OCdts’ knowledge of their future profession but also provided valuable perspectives on the various functions of each Wing within the
RBAirF.
