OFFICER CADET (UDARA) MUHAMMAD HARIZ BIN HAJI AHAT FROM OCS INTAKE 22 DEPARTS FOR RAF CRANWELL TRAINING


BRUNEI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Saturday, 02 September 2023 -  Officer Cadet (Udara) Muhammad Hariz bin Haji Ahat from the Officer Cadet School (OCS) of Intake 22, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) departed to the United Kingdom for his Modular Initial Officer Training Course ((M)IOTC), a 24-week program at Royal Air Force (RAF), Cranwell, United Kingdom. Present was 622 Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Haji Muhammad Yusri Bin Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin, the Commanding Officer of OCS DA RBAF and  officers from OCS DA RBAF.
 
The (M)IOTC seeks to cultivate teamwork and leadership capabilities along with providing junior officers the core skills, mindsets, and proficiency they need. In addition, the course is divided into a three-week International Defence Training (IDT) Induction Course and four terms of six weeks of training.
 
Defence training establishments provide distinguished courses to international cadets that introduce bilateral collaborators to UK policy and promote the principles of accountability, human rights, and transparency.  They are crucial for developing the expertise necessary for other nations to effectively address their own internal issues, thereby contributes to regional security.
 
The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) is actively involved in enhancing efforts to foster diplomatic defence ties with other countries in order to create transparency as well as develop mutual understanding and confidence building.
