BRUNEI MUARA, Tuesday, 8th October 2024 – The Intake 23 of Officer Cadet School will be collaborating with Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute Military Institute (SAFTI MI) for 3 weeks programme of the Urban Operation Training Package (UOTP) at SAFTI MI.
Before their departure, parents were invited to the Officer Cadet School Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces for a briefing given by the Commanding Officer, Lt Col (U) Pg Haji Muhammad Yusri bin Pg Haji Sharifuddin on the training activities the Officer Cadets (OCdt) would undertake throughout the UOTP.
The UOTP will provide OCdt with new environments and challenges, allowing them to train alongside their counterparts from SAFTI MI. This experience aims to enhance their command & control capabilities, leadership skills, and confidence, while also testing their abilities in platoon-level urban warfare operations. The 3 week program promises to be an invaluable experience to the OCdt near the completion of their Special-to-Service Term.
