TANAH JAMBU, DEFENCE ACADEMY, Friday 10 September 2021 - The Commanding Officer of the Officer Cadet School (OCS), Lt Col Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Hj Kamaludin held a session with 85 Officer Cadets of Intake 20 via virtual platform Zoom where each unit were arranged in different places, for 47 Land Force Officer Cadets at Auditorium of Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces, 19 Air Force Officer Cadets at Syndicate Room and 20 Midshipmen at the OCS Lecture Theatre following the SOP given by the Ministry of Health. In attendance were The Intake Commander of Intake 20, Officers and Officer Cadets of Intake 20.The Commanding Officer began the session with a congratulatory speech to Officer Cadet of Intake 20 for being resilient and for having perseverance with the current pandemic situation. Although the current situation of the ongoing second wave pandemic of Covid-19 that happened before the start of the Special-to-Service (STS). The Commanding Officer reminded all Officer Cadets to maintain their discipline, embed the core value as well professionalism as an Officer Cadet.
Despite being hit by the ongoing pandemic the Officer Cadet training program were being revised, she reminded all Officer Cadets to always maintain their fitness level to prepare themselves for their next training to ensure Officer Cadet Schools can produce quality officers to be ready for their first appointment. In addition, The Commanding Officer emphasised all Officer Cadets to always be grateful to the Almighty and always look for the positive in any kind of situation by maintaining strong mentality and spirituality by seeking Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala protection and mercy.
