DEFENCE ACADEMY, TANAH JAMBU, Sunday, 18 October 2020 – Officer Cadets of Intake 19 held a cleaning campaign event, called “SAVE THE EARTH”. The event is aimed to reduce the rubbish thrown along the area of Mangsalut river mouth, Tanah Jambu, nearby Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). This campaign aims to raise awareness on the importance of cleanliness and to keep the Earth Green.
Participating the campaign event was Major (U) Awg Mohd Yusra bin Awg Jafar, the Intake Commander of Officer Cadet School Intake 19. The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by OCdt (U) Awang Muhammad Syarafur Rahman bin Awang Haji Ya’akub and continued with safety briefing which highlights on Officer Cadets to maintain discipline and awareness at all times.
Officer Cadets of Intake 19 were divided into groups to collect wastes such as plastic bottles, worn out clothes and garbage. The event concluded with 36 bags of plastic bottles successfully gathered which will then be recycled.
