
TANAH JAMBU, Saturday, 09 August 2025 – The Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 24 recently undertook a 12.8 km Combat Fitness Test at the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF). The OCdts completed the test in a time of 2 hours and 20 minutes, satisfying the standards for passing. Following this, the OCdts participated in a 50m fireman lift test. This combat fitness test marks a crucial milestone in their training, showcasing not only their physical stamina and endurance, but also the mental fortitude and teamwork essential for effective military leadership.
The combat fitness test serves to assess and validate OCdts of Intake 24 overall physical endurance, strength, and mental resilience by simulating the realistic demands of operational load carriage. It ensures they are adequately prepared to operate effectively under challenging combat conditions, capable of sustaining prolonged exertion while carrying essential equipment and maintaining the discipline, determination, and focus required for mission success.
