TANAH JAMBU, FRIDAY, 7 MAY 2021 – Officer Cadet School Defence Academy, RBAF (OCS DA RBAF) had successfully conducted cemetery visit and cleaning campaign as part of their Ramadhan 1442H religious community activity in conjunction with the final 10 days of this blessed month.
The activity was particularly organized by the Officer Cadets of Intake 20 as a spiritual reminder of life in the Hereafter and at the same time, to remember the lost souls of the 2012 RBAF helicopter crash incident.
This activity was done concurrently at four different locations; Jame Asr’ Hassanil Bolkiah cemetery, Pulaie, Jerudong and Damuan whereby four groups comprising of 82 officer cadets of OCS intake 20 were distributed among these cemeteries. These particular locations were selected as they were where few of the fallen heroes of the 2012 helicopter crash were buried
Present was 768 Lt Col Pg Siti Khatamalzariah Binti Pg Haji Kamaludin, the Commanding Officer of OCS. Also present were the Second in Command of OCS, School Sergeant Major, Officers and Instructors of OCS.
The activity started with a cleaning campaign of the cemetery areas followed by the recital of Surah Yassin and Tahlil and lastly ended with the watering of air asah-asahan on the deceased’s tombs. The recitation of the Surah Yassin and Tahlil was led by the officer cadets. It is prayed that may the souls find peace and be blessed with among The Believers.
