TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 05 January 2023 – The Leadership Talk session by Colonel Pg Sharifuddin bin Pg Hj Yusof, Commandant of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) was held today at the Lecture Theatre of the Officer Cadet School. The talk was attended by 64 officer cadets of Intake 21 that are currently on the final phase of their Commissioning course, as well as officers of the Officer Cadet School.The session started off with syndicate presentations on various topics on Leadership, following with the main event of the session, the Leadership talk. The Commandant DA RBAF highlighted the skills acquired to be an Officer, which is to have a strong character, to be resilient and to be always proactive for upcoming events. He also shared the expectations of being a Junior Officer that there will be mistakes and challenges faced, from those hardships, experiences will be learned and gained.
He also emphasised the officer cadets of Intake 21 to always have a positive mindset and always reflect back to themselves to make better decisions. Constant reflection creates a sense of situational awareness which could make an individual better and most importantly, a good leader.
The talk concluded with a question-and-answer session by the Commandant DA RBAF with the officer cadets of Intake 21.
