DEFENCE ACADEMY, TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 06 January 2023 – A sharing session by the Guest of Honor Lieutenant Colonel Pg Siti Khatamalzariah bte Pg Haji Kamaludin, Commanding Officer of Officer Cadet School Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF) on Leadership took place earlier today at the Lecture Theatre, OCS DA RBAF.
The Commanding Officer of OCS DA RBAF shared her knowledge and experiences on the qualities a military leader ought to have in particular on the ability to inspire, deliver, and lead by example. She emphasised that leadership is an art and science of leading self, team and organization towards achieving a desired goal whilst basing it on the Malay Islamic Monarchy concept.
In addition, the Commanding Officer mentioned several attributes that leaders should instill in themselves such as discipline, decision making skills, competency, physical fitness, communication skills and mental agility. Before the session ended, she opened the floor to a question-and-answer session. She advised to always seek knowledge, and to be respectful to others. She also highlighted the importance of always remembering Allah in anything they do.
