TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 15 December 2023 – The Officer cadet of intake 22 of Officer Cadet School (OCS) held the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony to celebrate the passing of their Special to Service term and preparation for the Khatam Al-Quran for the sovereign’s parade. The event was held at Surau Asy-Syuhada’, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The celebration was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour (GOH), Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Haji Muhammad Yusri Bin Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin, Commanding Officer of OCS. Alongside the attendees were Officers, Instructors and Officer Cadets of Intake 22.
The ceremony began with a mass reading of the final verses of the Al-Quran, Takhtim, Dzikir Marhaban, and concluded by the prayer for the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam. The Khatam Al Quran event is held to encourage and cultivate a practice of reading the Al-Quran among the Muslims cadets.
