ANGGEREK DESA, Monday 4 November 2019 – 21 Midshipmen of Intake 18 of Officer Cadet School, officers and instructors from Naval Training Centre of Royal Brunei Navy and Royal Brunei Technical Services visited the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD) earlier today.
The RBTS and NTC officers, instructors, as well as the officer cadets, received a warm welcome during the visit to the BDMD from the department’s officers and personnel. Mohd Afifi bin Junaidi gave an introduction on the degree and jobs of their work and how their findings can benefit the organisation, particularly as far as exploring in Brunei waters. The visit continued with a showcase of the Geospatial Mapping Section and an introduction on how Barometrical information memory around Brunei produces a present and future climate gauges, which was delivered by one of the BDMD staff members.
Throughout the morning, the officer cadets were able to broaden their knowledge from the department they visited and how it played a part in contributing towards the RBN.
