DEFENCE ACADEMY, TANAH JAMBU, 30 Jun 2022 – Today marked the 20th week of training for Intake 21 Officer Cadet School (OCS) with the completion of the Generic Term Parade which was held at the Defence Academy Parade Square, Tanah Jambu. The event marked yet another milestone for the Officer Cadets as it signifies the successful completion of the end of the challenging 20 weeks of Generic Term.
The Parade was divided into 3 contingents whereby each contingent was led by their respective Contingent Commanders; 1st Contingent under the command of 54439 MID Haji Muhammad Azli Azhar bin Haji Mohammad Samri, 2nd Contingent under 22216 OCdt (U) Nadzirah binti Haji Awang Ramli and 3rd Contingent under the command of 54424 OCdt Aedy Aliif bin Haji Zullizam. The Parade Commander parade was Lt (U) Muhammad Shah Redzuan bin Haji Mat Serudin.
The parade commences with the arrival of intake commander of Intake 21 OCS, Lt Cdr Muhd Adib Izzuddin bin Haji Ramli as the Guest of Honor (GOH). Also present at the event were second in-command intake commander Intake 21, Maj Mohd Asri bin Haji Awg Ahmad, platoon commanders, school sergeant major, training development warrant officer, intake staffs as well as instructors.
A present arm was presented by the parade upon the arrival of the GOH, who then proceeded with inspecting all 3 contingents. Following the inspection, the parade continued with the slow and fast march past before returning to position.
In his congratulatory speech, the GOH highlighted or remind Officer Cadets to keep the standard high throughout the commissioning course. He quoted “The only easy day was yesterday”. He mentioned how things will just get tough from now on as Special To Service Term is approaching but to never quit and keep morale high.
