INTAKE 23 OFFICER CADET SCHOOL VALIANTLY TAKE ON THE 42 KM COMMANDERS CHALLENGE

TUTONG, TUESDAY, 04 December 2024 - The Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 23 successfully completed the Commander's Challenge, a rigorous annual 42km test that all OCdts must endure prior to commissioning as officers in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

The challenge commenced in the afternoon of Tuesday, 03 December 2024, and concluded on the following morning, Wednesday, 04 December 2024. The route spanned from Lalak Lake, National Park to Tasek Merimbun, Heritage Park. Intake 23 was divided into six sections, each of which had to collaborate effectively to navigate the 42km course. Along the way, the sections encountered various obstacles designed to assess their tactical knowledge, leadership abilities, and the practical experience gained during their year-long commissioning course. The challenge tested the OCdts physical endurance and mental resilience, demanding a high level of teamwork to reach the finish line.

1 Platoon, 2 Section completed the challenge with the fastest time, earning them the prestigious Commander's Challenge Trophy. The trophy was presented by Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. 

Having successfully conquered this demanding test, the OCdts now stand at the threshold of their final steps in the commissioning course, with the parade square awaiting the next chapter in their journey as future officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
