TANAH JAMBU, Tuesday, 26 August 2025 – The Officer Cadet School Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF) proudly celebrated its 17th anniversary, marking nearly two decades of shaping future leaders and military officers dedicated to the service.
The commemorative event took place at Lecture Hall, OCS DA RBAF and was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour (GOH), Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Haji Muhammad Yusri Bin Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin, Commanding Officer of OCS. Also present were Second-In-Command Intake Commander, Officers, School Sergeant Major, Instructors and Support Staff as well as Officer Cadets (OCdts) of intake 24.
The celebration served to express the gratitude and appreciation towards OCS and its personnel for their commitment and contributions. Over the past 17 years, OCS DA RBAF has successfully commissioned, to date, a total of 845 professional and reliable military officers. It was also highlighted that the programme has also seen growing international participation with OCdts from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand currently participating in the commissioning course.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and concluded with the Doa Kesyukuran for 17 years anniversary recited by 56172 Midshipmen Mohammad Ridzuan bin Ismail @ Roslan.
