TANAH JAMBU, Defence Academy, Tuesday 04 July 2023 – Officer Cadet School (OCS) held a handover ceremony between the Outgoing Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pengiran Haji Kamaludin and the Incoming Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Haji Muhammad Yusri Bin Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin at the Officer Cadet School Lecture Theatre, Defence Academy this afternoon.
Present during the ceremony were Second in Command of OCS, Officers, School Sergeant Major, OCS Permanent Staff and the Officer Cadets.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a farewell speech delivered by the outgoing Commanding Officer. The event proceeded with the signing of the handing over certificate between the Outgoing Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Haji Kamaludin and the Incoming Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Haji Muhammad Yusri Bin Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin, thus marking the official handover of the Commanding Officer Officer Cadet School. The newly appointed Commanding Officer then delivered his inaugural speech. The Commanding Officer has emphasised on instilling the RBAF Leadership model which plays a major role as a personality shaper with the qualities of honesty, trust, piety, courage, loyalty and lastly maintaining professionalism. He emphasized that these qualities will ultimately guide RBAF leaders to make ethical judgments and actions that are acceptable to the national culture and in line with the organisation’s values.
The ceremony continued with the recitation of the Doa to bless the event and followed with light refreshments. The ceremony concluded with a group photo session.
