THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Sunday 16 October 2022 – For the final visit of the War Study Package, Intake 21 officer cadets of Officer Cadet School Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF) visited the Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC). SDC is a non-profit organisation aimed to share the Singapore Story and inspire a desire to contribute to Singapore’s future. It also provides a mind-and-heart-engaging, multi-sensory learning experience which spans a selection of integrated themes.
The officer cadets toured as well as interacted at the Permanent Exhibits Gallery which includes the Through the Lens of Time and Sandbox. The Through the Lens of Time gallery covers the findings and beginning of Singapore from 700 years ago with a multimedia visual show. The Sandbox gallery exhibits the multi-faceted, present-day Singapore where it allows visitors to imagine Singapore’s collective future by listening and interacting with the citizen stories.
The aim of the visit is to educate the officer cadet of the value history could gave to the modern society especially in the career of the armed forces. The visit ended with a group photo taking session.
