TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 25 August 2022 – The Officer Cadet School (OCS), Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Force (DA RBAF) held a Doa Kesyukuran event at Surau Asy-Syuhada’, DA RBAF to commemorate its 14th Anniversary.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Haji Kamaludin, Commanding Officer of OCS DA RBAF. Other attendees include the officers, staff and Intake 21 Officer Cadets of OCS.
The ceremony started with mass Maghrib and Hajat prayer. Followed with the recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil led by 54433 OCdt Muhd Hafizuddin bin Hj Ismadi and Doa Kesyukuran by 54441 MID Ak Muhd Al-Israa’ bin Pg Hj Adanan before the mass Isya prayer.
The event then resumed with a speech by the guest of honour. In the speech, she primarily touched on three key things; (1) main intention, (2) resilience and (3) morality in relation to the cadetship as they have 4 months of training remaining where they recently embarked on the beginning of their second last term i.e. Special-to-Service Term (STS) before the Final Term.
She also applauded the recent achievements made by the OCS personnel and also stressed on the immense value of the commitments and professionalism by all levels of the OCS personnel. Finally, the CO conveyed her appreciation to all OCS personnel and that it is greatly valued and will continue to be appreciated. The CO also looks forward to their continued support. The event concluded with a group photo session.
