TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 25 August 2021 – In conjuction with Officer Cadet School (OCS), Defence Academy RBAF 13th Anniversary, OCS has gathered via online to recite Surah Yassin followed by Doa Kesyukuran and Doa Tolak Bala to protect Brunei from the spread and outbreak of COVID-19. Present at the event were the Commanding Officer (CO), Lt Col Pg Siti Khatamalzariah binti Pg Hj Kamaludin, Officers and Staff of OCS.
The CO has highlighted that as OCS celebrates its 13th Anniversary, other focus areas such as the cognitive, psychological, spiritual and emotional aspects need to be delved more into. Although OCS is relatively still young, the CO believes that OCS will be able to continue to improve and strive to achieve excellence in realising its mission to produce high quality RBAF Officers with strong leadership, attitude and intellect.
The CO has also emphasised that, with the current pandemic situation in Brunei Darussalam, OCS has to be prepared to adapt to the new normal and to discover innovative and creative ways to deliver knowledge during this challenging time. In ensuring the Officer Cadets’ understanding of what is taught, it is important to do our best to continue in finding ideas for modules that can develop their competencies throughout the course of training in order to reach the set objectives and goals.
Lastly, The CO expressed the highest gratitude to all OCS staff who have continuously, without fail, dedicated their greatest commitments, their energy and ideas, directly and indirectly, in molding OCS into obtaining the high standard it holds currently.
