SINGAPORE, Tuesday, 17 December 2019 – The SAFTI International Cadets’ Conference (SICC) took place at SAFTI Military Institute (SAFTI MI), Singapore, from 11 to 16 December 2019. The conference, with a theme of “Millennial Leaders — Challenges and opportunities for the future”, was attended by international cadets and instructors from 18 nations; Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, the UK, the US and Vietnam. Representing Officer Cadet School from Brunei Darussalam were 53204 OCdt Ak Muhd Naufal bin Pg Alihashim, 53226 Mid Hj Abdul Muiz bin Hj Matali and 53236 OCdt (U) Muhd Najib Naqiuddin bin Hj Idris.

During the meeting, cadets discussed how millennial pioneers can and ought to react to worldwide issues of the 21st century. They linked together with subjects, for example, cybersecurity, rambles and unmanned innovation, sexual orientation jobs and character in the military, fear-based oppression and counter-psychological warfare, and preparing and operational wellbeing. The other main objective for the gathering, besides sharing thoughts on various themes, is also to established diplomatic ties amongst future leaders in the military forces around the world.

Apart from attending the conference, representative cadets get to experienced Officer Cadet School in Singapore and had various chances to cooperate with individual cadets and assemble kinships.
