TANJUNG BATU, Thursday, 20 June 2019 – The Officer Cadet School (OCS) Commanding Officer’s (CO’s) Challenge took place yesterday morning. The event was officially launched with the deployment of the first group of Officer Cadets at around 0600 hours to Tanjung Batu which stretched along the shoreline of Meragang Beach. The last Section to end the challenge was at 1900 hours in the OCS compound. The CO’s Challenge is one of the iconic and prestigious challenges that usually took place in the Generic Term of the OCS Course. This will sequentially be followed by the Commandant’s Challenge and the Commander’s Challenge.Present to officiate the prize presentation was the Commanding Officer of OCS, Lt. Col Amirul Adly bin Hj Ali who was welcomed by the acting Intake Commander and the 2IC of OCS, Captain (U) Mohd Yusra bin Awg Jafar. One of the objectives of the CO’S Challenge was to promote healthy inter-Section competition where Officer Cadets were tested on their physical and mental abilities, teamwork coordination and their abilities to lead in a Section level. The CO’s challenge will also help Officer Cadets to prepare for the two big upcoming big exercises, the Commandant’s Challenge and the Commander’s Challenge which will be a lot tougher and demand strong mental and physical capacities.
