DEFENCE ACADEMY, TANAH JAMBU, 29TH SEPTEMBER 2022 – 2 Officer Cadets from 21st Intake of Officer Cadet School Defence Academy RBAF, 54423 OCdt Ak Ahmad Amin Hidayatullah bin Pg Hj Rosli and 54421 OCdt Awg Muhammad Asyraf bin Hj Awg Amin were chosen to represent Brunei Darussalam at the 9th International Army Cadet Week 2022 hosted by Army Engineering University of PLA, Republic of China where cadets from 23 different countries from all over the world ranging from Laos to Argentina gathered to exchange their knowledge and perspectives.
The 2-day event was held from 28 till 29 September 2022, conducted online via Zoom Application. Each country’s representative presented the introduction to their respective military academies followed by a presentation on their perspective of the core competencies of military talents. The participants also had the opportunity to listen to keynote speeches from a professor and experts from China on a range of topics, including Chinese culture and characters, leadership, command and control and skills for military briefing.
From this event the RBAF Officer Cadets were able to strengthen the relationship their counterparts from other countries as well as diversify their knowledge and understanding of the people and their respective military environments. It was a mind opening experience and the Officer Cadets look forward to interact more with the countries counterparts all over the world to further enhance the countries’ defence diplomacy.
