TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 27 June 2024 – The Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 23 conducted their End of Generic Term Parade earlier today. The parade marked the end of the generic term where the Officer Cadets of Intake 23 have completed their six months journey into their commissioning program. This parade instils discipline, enhances coordination, and fosters a sense of unity amongst the OCdts. They are the foundation to military training, preparing the OCdts for the precision and order required in their future roles as officers.

TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 26 June 2024 – A total number of 22 students from the Military Cadets of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) led by the head of delegation Siti Nuratika Sri Mu'minnah binti Mohammad Hadi Muslim, Student Welfare Officer as Supervising Officer of Universiti Teknologi Brunei Military Cadets visited Officer Cadet School Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF). The visit aimed to enhance student's knowledge ad exposure on the Officer Cadet School and military career opportunities in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 24 June 2024 – Intake 23 of the Officer Cadet School (OCS) recently finished the Commanding Officer's (CO's) Challenge, a demanding 12km exercise that spanned from Berakas Forest Reserve to Berakas Garison. This rigorous exercise assessed the leadership, command, and control capabilities of 53 Officer Cadets as they manoeuvred themselves through the course.

The comprehensive lesson initiative aims to develop the officer cadets’ (OCdts) knowledge on techniques of survival and resource-finding skills.

TANAH JAMBU, Saturday, 25 May 2024 – The Bayonet Fighting Training for Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 23 culminated in a rigorous session held at the compound of the Officer Cadet School, DA RBAF. The training aimed to hone the officer cadets' close combat skills and instill in them the fundamentals of bayonet techniques, laying a strong foundation for future combat readiness.

TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 24 May 2024 – Officer Cadets of Intake 23 underwent a high rope obstacle course today. The training conducted at the obstacle course Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) was intended to familiarize the officer cadets with tactical prowess and agility relevant to combat scenarios, while also serving as a means for physical training and bolstering confidence.

Thursday, 23 May 2024 – As part of the cadets’ extensive training, the Officer Cadet School (OCS) launched Range Week training starting from 6 to 23 May 2024. The three-week training involved multiple firing ranges and covered various military weaponry, ranging from the standard rifle M16A2 training to support weapons such as the GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun).

TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 20 March 2024 – Today marked the end of the six-week basic military training for the Probationary Officer Cadets (POCdts) of Intake 23. The six-weeks program is a militarization phase which enables the POCdts to manage themselves and transition to a military lifestyle.

Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pg Hj Md Yusri bin Pg Hj Sharifuddin, Commanding Officer OCS, DA RBAF. TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 14 February 2024 – The Signing Ceremony of BAF 122 for 55 Probationary Officer Cadets of Intake 23, Officer Cadet School (OCS) was held today at the Auditorium of Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), Kampung Tanah Jambu. Present as the Guest of Honour was the Commandant of DA RBAF, Yang Mulia Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof. Also in attendance to witness the ceremony were the DA RBAF senior officers, officers and the parents of the Probationary Officer Cadets.

TANAH JAMBU, Sunday, 07 January 2024 – Officer Cadets Intake 22 participated in an orienteering competition organized by 55078 MID Mohamed Syahmi Wafiq Bin Mohamed Rohaizan, RBN conducted within the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces. The competition was initiated with recital of Al-Fatihah by 55065 OCDT Muhammad Muizzuddin Bin Haji Talipuddin and the first whistle blown was at 1430H.

TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 21 December 2023 - The officer cadets of Intake 22 have completed Defence Instructional Techniques (DIT) Qualification as part of the final term of their commissioning course. The training was conducted for 2 weeks by DIT qualified instructors. The first phase consists of a series of theory lessons. The officer cadets were exposed to the different instructor roles, the qualities of an instructor, method of learning; visual, audio, read/write and kinesthetic (VARK), learners skills analysis, method of using instructional aids, question and answer techniques, learners assessments, coaching, mentoring and learning.

TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 15 December 2023 - A significant day for 16 Officer Cadets of Intake 22 as they received their respective rank insignias in the morning at the appointment ceremony held in the Officer Cadet School (OCS) Mess Hall 2. These rank insignias include Cadet Platoon Sergeant, Cadet Corporal, Cadet Lance Corporal and the newly appointed Cadet Sergeant Major and Assistant Cadet Sergeant Major. The ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honour, the Commanding Officer of OCS, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Haji Muhammad Yusri Bin Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin. Also present were the Platoon Commanders and Instructors of OCS.

TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 13 December 2023 – A total of 31 scholarship students from various overseas universities such as The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney and Al-Azhar University, Cairo along with officers from Ministry of Education (MOE) visited Officer Cadet School Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF) today. The aim of the visit is to provide exposure and knowledge on the conduct of the commissioning course in OCS DA RBAF.

This comprehensive program equipped the Officer Cadets (OCdts) with the necessary skills to effectively manage shooting ranges and serve as competent Range Officers.

BRUNEI MUARA, Friday, 6 October 2023 - The Officer Cadet School of Intake 22 will be collaborating with the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute Military Institute (SAFTI MI) for another urban warfare training under the Urban Operations Training Package (UOTP) that will be held at the SAFTI MI. The training will provide officer cadets with the opportunity to practice their routine in different environment as well as to foster and enhance collaboration between DA RBAF and SAFTI MI in maintaining and improving training particularly on officer cadet for the benefit of both Armed Forces.
