PENANJONG, Monday, 8 September 2025 – The Land Force Officer Cadets (OCdts) recently completed a two-day training programme conducted by the Second Squadron, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosives Defence, Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Force (2 Sqn (CBRE De) ER RBLF). The training was aimed at equipping the OCdts with essential knowledge and practical skills in managing hazardous substances and warfare agents, an important preparation for their future roles as leaders in the military.

PULAU PELUMPONG, Tuesday, 26 August 2025 – Land Force Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 24 have successfully completed Exercise riverine by using the Fast Assault Boat ( FAB ) at Pulau Pelumpong. This training involved realistic confrontation scenarios with enemies, aimed at sharpening their jungle combat abilities. This exercise served as a significant milestone in advancing operational readiness, as it focused on the development and implementation of newly introduced techniques and tactics.

RIMBA, Wednesday, 20 August 2025 – Land Force Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 24 have successfully concluded the Eagle Strike Exercise, a two-day training programme focusing on Multi Rope Abseiling (MRA) at Rimba Air Force Base. The exercise was conducted under the supervision of 31 Squadron, No. 3 Wing, Parachute Airborne Tactical Delivery Unit (PATDU), Royal Brunei Air Force.

TANAH JAMBU, Saturday, 09 August 2025 – The Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 24 recently undertook a 12.8 km Combat Fitness Test at the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF). The OCdts completed the test in a time of 2 hours and 20 minutes, satisfying the standards for passing. Following this, the OCdts participated in a 50m fireman lift test. This combat fitness test marks a crucial milestone in their training, showcasing not only their physical stamina and endurance, but also the mental fortitude and teamwork essential for effective military leadership.

PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 28 July 2025 – The Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 24 have successfully completed their Ground Control Exercise at the FIBUA Village within Penanjong Garrison. This comprehensive four-day training involved engaging confrontation scenarios focused on interactions with simulated civilians. Prior to this practical exercise, the OCdts received extensive theoretical lessons from the Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Force (ER RBLF). They also gained valuable knowledge regarding Operational Law from representatives at the Judge Advocate General Office (JAG). Additionally, instructors from the Officer Cadet School (OCS) provided live demonstrations and hands-on training.

BERAKAS, Monday, 30 June 2025 – The Officer Cadet School (OCS) recently marked a major milestone for Intake 24 with the successful completion of the Commanding Officer’s (CO’s) Challenge, a 12 km endurance exercise from Berakas Forest Reserve to Berakas Garrison. Designed to push physical and mental limits, the challenge tested 51 Officer Cadets (OCdts) across nine demanding stations that focused on leadership, planning, decision-making skills, command and control, teamwork, and resilience.

This marked the end of their close combat training phase. The session focused on practical close-quarter techniques like thrusting and bayonet charges. OCdts trained under physically and mentally demanding conditions to build discipline, combat focus, and control.

This exercise marked the Officer Cadets’ (OCdts) first exposure to jungle operations and included their initial overnight stay in the field using the Individual Shelter System (ISS).

TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 27 MARCH 2025 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, 47 Probationary Officer Cadets were appointed as Officer Cadets. The Appointment Ceremony was held at the Ceremonial Hall of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), Kampong Tanah Jambu.
