SINGAPORE, Wednesday, 22 October 2025 – Exercise Coyote I brought together Officer Cadets (OCdts) from the Officer Cadet School, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF) and the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute Military Institute (SAFTI MI) for a two-day combined Urban Operations exercise at the newly launched SAFTI City.
The exercise served as a critical platform DA RBAF to fulfil its mission of developing future leaders who exemplify tactical excellence, adaptability, and regional awareness. It focused on sharpening essential combat leadership and decision-making skills in urban warfare scenarios, with OCdts conducting building clearances, tactical manoeuvres, and coordinated operations in complex environments.
Guided by instructors from Charlie Wing, SAFTI MI, the OCdts from OCS DA RBAF, engaged closely with OCdts from Delta Wing, SAFTI MI in integrated mixed sections, enhancing interoperability, communication, and cohesion under realistic field conditions.
Beyond the tactical dimension, Exercise Coyote I reaffirmed the enduring defence cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore. Through the combined training and shared challenges, the exercise strengthened camaraderie, interoperability, and deepened partnership between the two armed forces. It also underscored the DA RBAF’s commitment to developing leaders who lead with competence, integrity, and purpose, prepared to serve the nation and engage constructively within the regional security landscape.
