TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 11 July 2025 – Officer Cadets (OCdts) of intake 24, Officer Cadet School, Defense Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF) held a rank appointment ceremony, which marks the third official appointment of the OCdts of intake 24 who will take on leadership roles as Section Commanders and Second-in-Command (2IC) Section Commanders.
The event was officiated by Major Abdul Qahhar bin Haji Abdul Mulok, Intake Commander of OCS. The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah to seek blessings and pray for the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
A total of twelve OCdts were appointed to new ranks within their respective sections. Of these, six were promoted to the rank of Officer Cadet Corporal (Section Commander), while the remainder were promoted to Officer Cadet Lance Corporal (2IC Section Commander). These appointments are a crucial part of their journey, as the selected cadets are now responsible for leading, managing, and inspiring their peers. They are expected to lead by example, uphold the core values of OCS, and foster unity, discipline, and performance within their sections.
This rank appointment ceremony represents an important progression in preparing these future officers for the challenges of leadership in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
