OFFICER CADETS OF INTAKE 24 VISIT THE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES MUSEUM

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 4 July 2025 – Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 24 from Officer Cadet School, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA RBAF), made an educational visit to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Museum.

The visit, part of the OCS’s ongoing military education programme, aimed to deepen the OCdts understanding of the rich history, traditions, and achievements of the RBAF since its establishment. The visit also served to instill a sense of pride, identity, and appreciation of the institution they are preparing to serve. OCdts were received at the RBAF Museum by 1244 Captain Dk Siti Nurhamizah binti Pg Binting the Garrison Adjutant, along with staff members from the RBAF museum. The visit commenced with a briefing on the historical milestones of the RBAF, followed by an overview of the museum’s mission to preserve and showcase Brunei’s military legacy. OCdts were also being guided through various galleries exhibiting historical artefacts and military memorabilia reflecting the evolution of the RBAF’s capabilities and contributions, both at the national and regional levels,  allowing OCdts to gain deeper insights into the significance of military history in shaping professional identity and leadership ethos.

The visit is one of several professional development activities organised throughout the OCdts training to enhance their military knowledge and leadership potential in line with OCS’s vision of producing and developing high quality officers who are dedicated and committed to defend the nation’s sovereignty territorial integrity and uphold the constitution and the philosophy of the Malay Islamic Monarchy, contributing to nation building.
